Unlocking the color code to your favorite pair of Levi’s is easier than you think—as long as the inside tag is intact. Founded in 1873, Levi Strauss and Company’s jeans have covered the derrieres of even the rich and famous. Made with countless combinations of colors and styles, the Levi’s tag tells you everything you need to know about your favorite pair. Locate the color code on your Levi jeans tag to purchase a new pair in your favorite color.

Look inside the jeans for a fabric tag. The tag is generally white and located at the back of the jeans under the waistband.

Look at the tag to find a nine-digit product code, call a PC9. The code will usually have five digits, a hyphen and then four more digits.

Write down the four digits at the end of the product code.

Call your local Levi’s store or the corporate sales center at 800-USA-LEVI, and ask for a sales associate. Give the sales rep your four-digit color code from the PC9 to determine the color name associated with that code.

Use the color name, associated with the color code, to purchase jeans at the store or online at US.Levi.com.

Tip

There may be two tags, one on top of the other, so check both tags for the PC9 code. Levi’s online does not use color codes, only color names. You will have to know the color name before ordering a pair of jeans online.
