This is a simple trick to give blonde or light brown hair a nice sunkissed look, without harsh chemical highlights, and without having to spend hours in the sun!

Before you shower. Apply 2-3 drops each of Chamomile Essential Oil and Lemon Essential Oil to a wide paddle brush. Brush through dry, unwashed hair from roots to end until the oils are evenly distributed throughout the hair. This will take more strokes for longer hair. A good guide is 20 strokes for short hair, 30 for medium hair, and 50 or more for long hair.

Allow the oils to sit in your hair for about 15-20 minutes, and then rinse them out. You can then either shampoo, or allow you hair to dry. Repeat this step 2-3 days a week until you have reached your desired color.

In addition to brushing the oils onto your hair, you can also add the Essential oils to your shampoo or conditioner. Simply screw the cap off of your shampoo and conditioner, and put about 10 drops chamomile oil and 5 drops lemon oil into each. This will have a more subdude effect, and can therefore take more uses to achieve desired color, but is less time consuming for those of us in a hurry.
