Want to have a younger looking face but don't have a lot of extra money for high-end products? Here are a few tips to help illuminate and refresh your skin.
Dry skin and fine lines increase with age. Even by the end of your twenties, laugh lines slowly appear around your mouth and eyes. Using a good moisturizer twice a day can help prevent more from forming. A "good" mosturizer does not necessarily mean an "expensive" moisturizer . Choose one that is completely free of fragrance and oil (including mineral oil, which may actually age your skin). I like to wash my face in the shower, using the steam to help soften my skin. Then I wait twenty minutes before applying moisturizer. Also, don't forget to apply moisturizer to your neck. Your neck area is one of the first to show age.
For years I have used a simple mask made of a mixture including a quarter cup of whole milk, a half cup of honey, a half cup of oats and two egg whites. This has always made my skin feel fresh and soft. (Don't forget to apply moisturizer after you rinse your face.) There are many other recipes for organic beauty treatments available on the web, and it's so much fun trying them!!
Even if you prefer to not use a foundation, concealer is an easy way to even out your skin tone. Apply concealer only to the corner of your eye (spreading outward to the area under your eye) and to the sides of your nose (that usually have some natural redness). Mascara is also a makeup must-have. I wear mascara every day. It makes your eyes look brighter and awake.
It's all about gravity! When you pull your hair up, so goes some of the sagging lines. This is a trick I have used for years, especially after a night of studying or working late.
This cannot be said enough. Smoking is not only a habit that causes disease, bad breath and bad teeth, but it also causes lackluster skin and acne.
Experts have been saying for years that drinking plenty of water during the day will result in healthier bodies from the inside out. Drinking the reccomended amount of water can help with your acne and improve the overall complexion of your skin.
