The origins of the pina colada are unknown, but it has become one of the most popular tropical cocktails, regardless of the destination. The recipe for a pina colada developed by the International Bartenders Association includes equal parts rum and coconut cream, mixed with pineapple juice and blended (see Resources). Get yourself a blender and some cocktail glasses, and you will be enjoying pina coladas in no time.

Put 1 cup of crushed ice in the blender.
Pour 1 oz. white rum in the blender.
Add 1 oz. coconut cream.
Pour 3 oz. pineapple juice into the mix.
Blend until the ingredients are thoroughly incorporated. Add additional crushed ice if your pina colada is too thin.
Pour the pina colada into a large glass and garnish with a cocktail cherry, fresh pineapple or sliced strawberries.
