How to Make Kakashi Hair

By Elyse James

Hatake Kakashi is a character in the anime television series "Naruto." In the series, Kakashi plays the role of Naruto's teacher and mentor — Kakashi is a prominent character in the show. He is known for his quirky traits that include his spiky gray hairstyle. If you are attempting to dress up like Kakashi for an anime convention or other event, use a hair straightener and styling products instead of purchasing an expensive wig. This hairstyle works best on hair that is about 4 inches in length.

Step 1

Wash and dry your hair thoroughly, then apply a liberal quantity of styling gel to the hair.

Step 2

Use your hands to distribute the gel through the hair. Use a brush to brush your bangs so they are angled to one side of your forehead. Brush the remaining hair so it sticks straight up all over the back of the head.

Step 3

Straighten small sections of the hair with a hot iron to help the hair stand straight in the back. Straighten ½-inch sections at a time, making sure the hair sticks up all over the head.

Step 4

Set the hairstyle with hairspray for additional hold if your hair-color spray does not contain hairspray.

Step 5

Shake the can of gray spray-on color, and hold it about 12 inches away from your hair. Cover the entire hair with the spray and allow it to dry. You can remove any spray from your skin or face by using a damp cloth.

Step 6

Secure the hairstyle with a Naruto headband to complete the look.
