Chocolate pancakes are a change-up from the normal pancake. There are ways to make them from scratch, but a fast and easy version only needs to combine cocoa mix into the prepared pancake batter.

Prepare the pancake mix as directed on box.

Add sugar to the pancake mixture.

Put the skillet over medium heat. Swirl the butter around pan starting from the middle out to the edges of pan.

Blend the cocoa mix into the prepared pancake mix and stir well.

Pour 1/4 of the batter into the skillet per pancake.

Flip the pancake when the top bubbles and the bottom of the pancake looks brown.

The other side of pancake will brown fairly fast. The pancakes are done when both sides are completely brown.
