Wave Nouveau is an easy style to maintain and can encourage hair growth. A Wave Nouveau perm can make your hair care routine quick and easy with shiny defined curls. This chemical perm system should only be applied by a licensed hair stylist. Wave Nouveau costs about $120.00 for your first application and regular touch ups cost $100.00.

Shampoo

Choosing which hair products to use is very important. Use a moisture shampoo with added protein to avoid dryness. Since hair is made up of keratin protein, choosing a shampoo with added protein helps encourage hair growth. Moisture is the most important aspect of maintaining your Wave Nouveau style, so any shampoo you use should have both of these important ingredients. Shampoo hair twice before using conditioner.

Conditioner

Apply a generous amount of moisturizing conditioner to the hair. Leave your moisturising conditioner on for about five minutes before rinsing. For deeper conditioning, cover your hair with a plastic processing cap and use leave-in conditioner for 10 to 20 minutes. Rinse hair thoroughly.

Other Tips

Use a wide tooth comb to comb out your hair. Separate and define your curls as you comb out after conditioning. Yanking on your hair with a large brush will stunt new hair growth and may lead to split ends.

Put a generous amount of curl defining product in the palm of your hand and apply it throughout your hair to further separate and define the curl pattern. Use fingertips to coil your hair and make sure you apply the product all the way to the ends. There are many lots of curl defining products available online or at beauty supply stores. Doing this extra step with help you avoid frizzy curls and help your curly perm stand out.
