Loose neck skin develops as most people age, and is largely a result of the muscles under the chin not getting sufficient use. The good news about this is that by stimulating these muscles, you can actually reduce or even eliminate your double chin. Of course, there are many surgical options that will work much faster, but they can be painful and expensive. Before you go under the knife, give these simple exercises a chance to eliminate your loose neck skin problem.

Use the appropriate skincare products. The skin on your neck needs as much attention as the skin on your face if you want to keep it firm and taut. Make sure that you use a moisturizer twice a day to help keep the skin full and firm rather than dry and saggy. Always stroke upward so that you are not pulling the skin downward and out of shape. Refresh it periodically throughout the day using skin toner, which will help pull the skin tight and prevent and remedy sagging with regular use.
Slap the underside of your chin lightly. Use the back of your hand, and start slowly and build speed gradually for three minutes. Do not beat yourself up. This should not hurt, but it may make the muscles in your neck sore since you will involuntarily tighten them as they are repeatedly tapped. Do this at least once a day.
Maintain good posture. Keep your head up, your back straight and your feet flat on the floor. This position will keep the muscles in your neck tight and help reduce existing sag.
Chew some gum. This is a great way to exercise your chin muscles and define your entire jaw and neck line. Chew actively for at least 15 minutes a day.
Exercise your chin muscles by pouting. Stick your lower lip out as far as it will go. Tense your lower lip and chin. You will feel the pull on the muscles in the area under your chin on your neck. Hold this position for 10 seconds before releasing. Repeat this 10 or more times each day.
