Mustaches, once unpopular, are having a resurgence amongst men of all ages. It's a flattering look for many face shapes and provides less upkeep than a full beard. Stop shaving your mustache. It's a common myth that frequent shaving makes facial hair grow back thicker each time, but this isn't true. Whether you shave a lot or not, it may take up to one month without shaving for your mustache to grow thick.

Reduce your stress level. Stress is a major cause of hair loss, so try do things that relax you, such as exercising, meditating, taking a walk and reading.

Drink at least eight glasses of water per day. Your body needs plenty of hydration to make a thick mustache.

Eat protein. Fish, eggs, meat and beans are great sources protein, which encourages hair growth.

Apply castor oil. Castor oil is said to stimulate hair follicles and increase hair growth. At night, massage your upper lip area with a few drops of castor oil and remove the oil with a towel in the morning.

Take a hair-growth supplement, such as biotin. Biotin is a supplement that is said to increase hair growth and thickness. It may also cause your nails to grow faster as well.
