Chicken wings are a popular appetizer and party food. If you're planning a party, you can save yourself time the day of the event by either frying the wings the day before, or even a few weeks ahead. When you are ready to serve the wings, all you have to do is take them out of the container and thaw them out before your guests arrive.

Place the cooked chicken in the containers or freezer bags. If you are using freezer bags, place enough chicken wings in the bag to fill it halfway.

Lay the freezer bag on a flat surface. Be sure to place the sharp edges of the wings in an up-right position to prevent the bag from ripping. Zip or snap the freezer bag closed and make sure it is secure. Continue placing chicken wings into the freezer bags until you have no more left. When using a container, place each individual chicken wing flat on the bottom surface; do not overlap the chicken wings. Place the top back onto the container and make sure it is secure. Continue placing the chicken wings into the containers until you have no more left.

Place the chicken wings in the very back of the freezer where it is the coldest. Do not place the containers or freezer bags directly on top of each other; otherwise the chicken will not freeze correctly. If you’re using a freezer bag, place it in a flat position, so each chicken wing will freeze adequately. When all of the chicken wings are completely frozen, you then are able to stack the containers or place the freezer bags in an upright position.
