How to Dye Hair with Kool Aid

By Baird Daily

Always wanted to dye your hair, but were afraid of the commitment? Have you ever thought about dying your hair a different color, as often as once a week? You can -- easily, safely and cheaply with Kool Aid. Whether teenager or adult, you can still have pink hair on the weekend and be ready for work on Monday. Kool Aid is a great way for you to "let your hair down."

Kool Aid can be used to create streaks of color in your hair as well as all-over color.

Step 1

Put on plastic gloves. Cover your shoulders and chest with an old towel.

Step 2

Empty the Kool Aid packets into a small bowl.

Step 3

Squirt 2 to 3 tablespoons of conditioner into the Kool Aid. Mix until you get a thick paste.

Step 4

Comb the mixture through your hair. Use your fingers to massage it into your hair, but not into your scalp.

Step 5

Cover your hair with plastic wrap. Leave on for 6 to 8 hours or overnight.

Step 6

Remove plastic wrap. Rinse your hair with water until it runs clear.
