This year, ring in the New Year with something a little special. Pears are overflowing at the market and this cocktail has the daintiest touch of the seasonal fruit, coupled with sweet St. Germain Liqueur and sparkling wine. Serve it up at your New Years Eve soirèe and prepare for the oohs and aahs! Here’s how it’s done:
1/2 vanlla bean, scraped
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1-2 bartlett pears
Juice of 1 lemon
St. Germain Liqueur
- Combine vanilla bean and granulated sugar in a small bowl, add lemon juice to another bowl.
- Dip the rims of the serving glasses to the lemon juice, then into the vanilla sugar.
- Scoop about 15 pear balls and coat in reserved lemon juice.
- Add 3-4 pear balls to the glass, 1 oz St. Germain Liqueur, then top with sparkling wine.
