If you haven’t started incorporating the amazing super food that is Turmeric to your diet–what are you waiting for? This incredible root has shocking amounts of antioxidants, manganese, iron, healthy fats and anti-inflammatory compounds. It has been used for centuries to fight inflammation in the body, from blemishes to over-worked muscles. This wellness latte, inspired by Nutrition Stripped, is an incredibly delicious recipe that works as a great night cap. Here’s how it’s done:
1 tsp ground turmeric
1 cinnamon stick
Freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp + 1/2 tbsp coconut oil (separated)
2 cups almond milk
1 tbsp raw honey
- Add ground turmeric, cinnamon, black pepper, 1 tsp of coconut oil, and almond milk into a medium pot. Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occassionally.
- Off heat, remove cinnamon stick and stir in honey.
- Pour into a blender and add another 1/2 tbsp coconut oil. Blend on low until frothy.
- Pour & ENJOY!
