This incredible root has shocking amounts of antioxidants, manganese, iron, healthy fats and anti-inflammatory compounds. It has been used for centuries to fight inflammation in the body, from blemishes to over-worked muscles. This wellness latte, inspired by Nutrition Stripped, is an incredibly delicious recipe that works as a great night cap.
Here's how it's done:
1 tsp ground turmeric 1 cinnamon stick Freshly ground black pepper 1 tsp + 1/2 tbsp coconut oil (separated) 2 cups almond milk 1 tbsp raw honey
- Add ground turmeric, cinnamon, black pepper, 1 tsp of coconut oil, and almond milk into a medium pot. Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occassionally.
- Off heat, remove cinnamon stick and stir in honey.
- Pour into a blender and add another 1/2 tbsp coconut oil. Blend on low until frothy.
- Pour & ENJOY!
