There are three things to think about when hosting a holiday party: your outfit, the decor and the food. As long as you’re confident on those fronts, everything else falls into place. We teamed up with Express to share our top holiday-approved hosting tips, recipes and of course, wardrobe.
- Dress The Part: The holidays are your time to shine, choose a look with some sparkle.
- Set The Scene: Choose a theme and color scheme, we love monochrome metallic. Include warm lighting with candles, a great playlist, and a make-shift photo booth to capture fun moments.
- Serve It Up: Create a “naughty” and “nice” bar. On the naughty side, include special holiday treats like cupcakes, cake, chips and dip. On the nice side, include healthier options like popcorn, crudites, fruit and hummus. For drinks, follow the festive recipes below:
*Naughty: The Bad Santa Punch:
Mix: Ice, 1 cup of fresh blood orange juice, 2 cupes orange juice, 1 cinnamon stick, 2 star anise pods, 1/2 bottle dry white wine, 1/2 bottle prosecco and top with blood orange slices.
*Nice: The Turtle Dove Spritzer:
Mix: 5 oz vodka and 3 cups white grape juice, top with sparkling water, blood orange slices and frozen cranberries.
