A skin tag is a benign skin growth that looks like a small ball of hanging skin. A mole is a round, dark spot on the skin known as a melanocytic nevus. Skin tags and moles can be unattractive, but surgical removal can be daunting. As an alternative, there are folk remedies you can do at home to remove moles and skin tags.
Folk Remedies for Removing Moles at Home
Soak the mole or skin tag in warm water for 15 to 20 minutes. Dry the area. Place a cotton ball soaked in apple cider vinegar on the mole or skin tag for 15 minutes. Wash off and pat dry. Repeat until the mole or skin tag disappears.
Dissolve an aspirin tablet in a drop of water. Apply the paste to the mole or skin tag and cover it with a bandage. Repeat twice a day.
Chew on a few cashew nuts and then place them on the mole or skin tag. Continue for a month until it disappears.
For moles, soak a gauze cloth in 2 tsp. castor oil and 1 tsp. baking soda and place it over the mole. Leave it on overnight.
Place a small piece of potato on the mole. Cover the area with a bandage for four to seven days.
For moles, rub a dandelion on the mole until the milky plant juice covers the mole. Repeat this three times a day.
Rub iodine on the mole every night until it disappears.
Apply a drop of grapefruit seed extract to the mole two to three times a day until it disappears.
Mix 1 tsp. baking soda with 1/4 tsp. water. Make a paste and rub on the skin tag three to four times a day.
Tie a thread around the skin tag. It should fall off in a week or less.
Apply a piece of duct tape on the skin tag and it should come off in seven days.
