“Chocolate doesn’t ask silly questions, chocolate understands.” (Anonymous) Valentine’s Day is creeping up on us and whether you’re celebrating with a special someone, friends, family, or yourself – we can all use a little chocolate. Chocolate not only enhances our moods, but it’s filled with health benefits. A little piece of dark chocolate is chock-full of antioxidants that help lower blood pressure, bad LDL cholestrol and the risk of heart disease… major for cardiovascular health. It’s also said to fight diabetes, increase blood flow, protect your skin and improve vision (to name a few!). Keep in mind that we’re taking about a little piece of chocolate, not an entire bar. That’s why we love these four recipes. Baking the (almost) fourless chocolate cakes in individual ramekins helps with portion control (and you’ll need it because this cake is out of this world).
