Skinny jeans are a popular style, but you have to pair them with the right top for your body type. Since the jeans are tight throughout the leg, many prefer to pair them with a top that’s full in some way. You don’t have to be skinny to wear skinny jeans — simply pair them with a top that hides your flaws.

Peasant Blouses

A peasant blouse is large and flowy, which can nicely balance out the skinny jeans. They typically have a ruffle or elastic edge around the neckline, which you can pull down the shoulders if you want. Peasant blouses work well on many body types, but because they are not form-fitting, they can make your stomach look larger. Counter this effect by pairing a peasant blouse with a belt at the waist.


If you want something a bit more form-fitting, try a minidress, which has the right length to pull this look off. Choose a dress that covers your rear but is shorter than mid-thigh.
