Shimmer and Shine

Shimmering makeup works great to give a white dress some added oomph. Use a sheer foundation to start, and lilac, pale green or silver-grey cream shadow for the eyes. Line the upper and lower lash lines with a metallic pencil in the same color as your shadow. Add mascara to the lashes and a nude or light pink lipstick to the lips. A liquid highlighter in pink or white can be used in place of blush to highlight your cheekbones and add extra sparkle.

Sun-kissed Bronze

A golden bronze makeup style will have you looking like a goddess in a white and gold dress. Use tinted moisturizer for a sun-kissed look and a sheer coral or cinnamon blush on the cheekbones. use bronze or gold cream shadow and black mascara on the eyes. Finish with metallic gloss or tinted lip balm in coral or bronze shades.

All Natural

Play up the understated, natural elegance of a white and gold dress with a subdued makeup pallet. Use concealer as needed, and skip foundation. Brush on mineral powder in your skin tone, and nude powder on the apples of your cheeks. Use nude or pink powder eyeshadow, and brown liner and mascara for the lash line and lashes. A sheer or pink lip gloss finishes the look.

Edgy and Dark

For a punk-rocker, edgy look, contrast your white dress with a dark makeup style. To avoid looking too contrasting, keep the makeup slightly smudged and imperfect. Use a matte, no-shine foundation, if any, with no blush. A metallic powder shadow in bronze, copper or charcoal works great on the eyelids, and use a chunky eye pencil for your lash lines. The upper lash lines can even have a hint of metallic or glitter in the pencil. Finish with black mascara and red or red-brown lipstick.
