Blackheads are dark specks that show up on the skin when pores become clogged. Many people make the mistake of improperly removing their blackheads by squeezing them, which results in scars or deep pits in the skin. These scars can be just as noticeable as blackheads themselves, so it's important to remove the scars through methods of exfoliation and pore tightening.
Splash warm water onto your face, and then squeeze a dime-size amount of facial scrub into your hand. Massage the scrub into your face to exfoliate scarred layers of skin.
Soak a cotton ball in lemon juice. Rub the cotton ball onto your face to tighten your pores. Tightened pores make blackhead scars and pits less noticeable.
Mix together 1 tsp. lemon juice and 1 tsp. groundnut oil. Apply the mixture to your scars and leave it on for 15 minutes. Wash off the mixture with water and a gentle facial cleanser.
Gently dry your face with a clean, soft towel.
Use this treatment once daily or as often as needed to reduce blackhead scars and pits.
