Adult males most often experience hair loss. The most common type of hair loss is male pattern baldness, or androgenic alopecia. Females sometimes face thinning hair or balding as well. Apple cider vinegar is often used as an at-home hair care product for both men and women. The acidity in apple cider vinegar is close to the acidity in natural hair. Hair is mildly acidic, as is apple cider vinegar. Unfortunately, most over-the-counter hair care products are potent and can damage hair. Apple cider vinegar, though, balances your hair's pH. It can also remove buildup caused by other hair care products.
Create an apple cider vinegar hair rinse. Mix two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with a pinch of cayenne powder.
Add essential oils to the rinse to increase the fragrance. A few drops of lemon, rose or lavender essential oils will scent the hair rinse.
Apply rinse to scalp before you shampoo. Leave the rinse on your hair for 30 minutes to an hour before shampooing.
Massage your scalp while shampooing and rinsing your hair.
Use an apple cider vinegar rinse one to two times per week.
