Applying a mixture of lemon juice and vinegar to your hair removes residues left by shampoo and hair products like hair spray. It will also moisturize your hair and help prevent dandruff.
Ingredients
Vinegar balances the pH of your hair, cleans out the hair shaft and gives it a shine because it closes up the cuticles, eliminating frizz. Lemon also adds shine to hair and gives it subtle highlights.
Recipe
To make the hair rinse, add 2 tbsp. of apple cider vinegar to 1 cup of water. Squeeze the juice from half a lemon into the mixture and stir it to blend the ingredients.
Application
After washing and rinsing your hair, pour in the lemon/vinegar rinse. Massage the mixture into your scalp and throughout your hair down to the ends. Then, rinse your hair with cool water.
Smell
You might smell the apple vinegar in your hair while it is wet. However, once your hair has dried, the smell of vinegar will not be apparent.
