A quick drop off of the vanity or toss in the makeup bag can leave your favorite eyeshadow in pieces. Powder and mineral formulas are usually the first to crack, but they don’t have to leave a dent in your daily routine. Skip that emergency trip to the makeup counter and salvage your signature eyeshadow at home.
Things You'll Need
Wrap a piece of plastic wrap tightly over the shadow and tuck the edges under the pan.
Use a spoon to smash all of the eyeshadow so that it is completely crumbled. This will allow for an even result.
Remove the plastic wrap and use an eyedropper to place 10 drops of 70% alcohol into the shadow. You can find 70% alcohol at your local art store.
Use a butter knife to smooth over the top of the shadow while it is still wet. Allow it to dry completely.
Wipe the edges of the pan clean with a cotton swab.
Use this method on any powder product, such as setting powder, blush or powder foundation.
