Tassimo coffee makers allow java lovers on the go to make a single cup of coffee rather than brewing an entire pot. These special brewers use Tassimo discs, small coffee pods you insert into the unit that brew in a matter of minutes. Tassimo discs cost more than ground coffee, and disc multipacks may contain blends you won’t enjoy. Make your own coffee blends using 4-cup coffee filters.
Things You'll Need
Place a 4-cup coffee filter into a metal measuring scoop that fits in the Tassimo pod holder. Set the bottom of plastic cup into the coffee filter.
Press down on the cup and twist to form the coffee filter into the shape of the measuring scoop, which closely matches the shape of a Tassimo disc.
Remove the plastic cup, leaving the coffee filter in the measuring scoop. Fill the filter three-quarters full with ground coffee.
Fold the sides of the coffee filter in and over themselves to completely cover the coffee grounds. Tamp the grounds with the bottom of the cup for a stronger brew, if desired.
Lift the coffee disc from the measuring scoop and place it into the Tassimo disc holder. Make sure that the bottom, smooth side is down and the folded side is up. Brew the coffee as you would a regular disc.
