The Superman curl is the signature feature of Superman's debonair and suave look. That one little lock of hair that hangs down and curls onto his forehead tells the world that he is able to see through objects, fly through the sky and defeat all sorts of evildoers without messing up his hair. To bring out a little Superman in yourself, style a Superman curl for your own hair and go out and save the day!

Grow the front of your hair out to at least 2 or 3 inches long. You need this much hair up front to be able to style it into a Superman curl.

Add a generous amount of pomade to your hair and rub it in with your hands until the hair is well saturated.

Part your hair to the side using the comb. Comb the front part of the hair back a little and off your face.

Reach up and separate a lock of the front hair with your fingers. Pull the hair down and away from the rest of the front hair that is combed to the side and back. A 1- or 2-inch piece is just about right. Choose a lock of hair that naturally clumps together.

Add a little extra hair pomade to the lock of hair that you are turning into the Superman curl. Rub the pomade into the lock until it is entirely saturated.

Twist the lock in your fingers until it begins to naturally curl. You may need to twist it back and forth to create the friction that will eventually cause it to curl.

Place it on your forehead after you have a nice curl going or let it hang free in front of your forehead.

Tip

Each actor who plays Superman wears the curl a little differently. Play with the various Superman curls until you find the one that you like best.
