You don't need complicated ingredients to make your own homemade eyeshadow. Below is a basic recipe for making natural eyeshadow at home using mica and a few other ingredients which you can find online or in your local healthfood store.

Buy the required ingredients, including mica powder, arrowroot powder, magnesium stearate, jojoba or other oil. Buy the mica powder in a shade which you would like to make your eyeshadow.

For your convenience, I've included links to these products on Amazon at the bottom of this article. Lots of them are used in food products, so you can find these in most health food shops.

In a small container, mix the arrowroot and the magnesium stearate powders. If needed, you can use the back of a spoon to crush both into a fine powder. Mix well.

Add oil, one drop at a time. You can use coconut oil, grapeseed oil, or any oil you like. Jojoba is the best because it lasts the longest. Make sure you've mixed everything well before you continue.

Next, add mica powder. You should add the mica powder gradually until you achieve the eyeshadow shade that you'd like. Avoid crushing the mica, since this can ruin the shimmer effect.

If the mixture appears too dry to apply, you can add one or two more drops of oil. Store the eyeshadow in a plastic container away from excess moisture.

To remove this eye makeup, use normal makeup remover, vaseline, or a dab of oil on a tissue or soft cloth.
