Makeup brushes powder glitter

Body glitter is a popular accessory for ladies at almost any age. Teens are typically the No. 1 fans of the body glitter beauty products, but adding some glitz to your look can work for any glamour girl. Basic body glitter can be made inexpensively at home with just a few ingredients. With homemade body glitter, you can achieve a "rich" sparkle at a bargain price.

In a mixing bowl or plastic container mix 1/2 cup aloe vera gel with 1 tsp. extra-fine glitter, which can be purchased at any craft store. Mix well so that the glitter is evenly distributed.

For extra color, drop 2 drops of food coloring in the mixture and blend well.

If you are seeking fragrant body glitter, drop 1 drop of essential oil of your choice into the body glitter mixture. Another option is to use your favorite perfume or fragrance to give the homemade body glitter a distinct smell.

Once you have mixed up the perfect batch of body glitter with the right color and fragrance, apply it to your body. Rub the body glitter mixture on your neck, chest, arms and face areas. You can also use it on your legs, if you want an overall body sparkle.

After applying the homemade body glitter, make sure you have evenly distributed it on your body.

Store the unused homemade body glitter in an airtight container for future use.

  • Use 1/2 tsp. glitter for every 3 tbsp. aloe vera gel. You can add a little more glitter to the mixture for added sparkle, but don't overdue it. Buy fragrance-free, dye-free and non-medicated aloe vera gel.
