Caribou lou is a strong and delicious rum-based cocktail. It contains pineapple juice, 151-proof rum and coconut-flavored rum. The drink originated in Kansas City, Missouri and was made famous by the Kansas City-based rapper Tech N9ne, who wrote a song that shares its name with the cocktail. Caribou lou has a tropical flavor from the mixture of the pineapple and coconut flavors, and people who drink the beverage should not underestimate its potency.

Measure the coconut-flavored rum, 151-proof rum and pineapple juice separately with a liquid measuring cup, and pour them into the highball glass.

Stir the ingredients with a spoon - a bar spoon, if you have one - and enjoy.

Garnish with a pineapple wedge or maraschino cherries, if desired. Instead of stirring the ingredients, you can shake them in a cocktail shaker, if you have one. If you don't have a liquid measuring cup, you can estimate the measurements with a shot glass. Keep in mind that one shot is equal to 1 1/2 oz.

Always drink responsibly, and never drink and drive. Rum that is 151 proof has the strength of 75.5 percent alcohol by volume and should be consumed in moderation.
