How to Look Skinny in 5 Minutes

You could look skinny the hard way, with a proper diet and exercise. Or you can look skinnier in five minutes without a lot of work. A few techniques can make you look taller and leaner, without your having to run a step or lift a pound. The key is dressing to guide the eye up and down, rather than across, your body.

Whittle your waist without lifting a finger.

Step 1

Wear heels. They improve your posture and make your legs look longer.

Step 2

Wear the proper foundation garments. Buy bras and tummy-control underwear in the proper sizes to slim your waist and smooth out your silhouette.

Step 3

Wear clothes that fit you closely, but don't bind. Buying clothes that fit your body and show off your good curves will make you look skinny because you aren't hiding under unnecessary fabric.

Step 4

Stand up straight, pull your shoulders back and hold in your tummy. Good posture makes you look taller and slimmer.
