It only takes up to 20 minutes to keep your cubic zirconia jewelry shining like real diamonds. Since special skills or products aren't needed, household items and a few minutes of your time can make your imitation diamonds shine like the real thing.
Keeping Your Jewelry Shiny
Pour eight ounces of hot water in a bowl.
Add one squirt of dishwashing detergent. Mix well.
Add jewelry to soapy mixture. Let soak for five to 10 minutes.
Remove jewelry and brush with a soft bristle brush. An old toothbrush or jewelry cleaning brush can also be used.
Rinse the jewelry in warm water to remove soapy residue.
Wipe the jewelry dry with a cotton cloth.
Polish jewelry with a flannel cloth, using a back and forth motion. Circular motions can scratch the surface of your jewelry. A jewelry polishing cloth can be used as well.
Place each piece of jewelry in its own plastic bag and store in a jewelry box to help pieces keep natural shine. Storing jewelry separately in plastic bags prevents pieces from rubbing and scratching one another.
For stubborn dirt, an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner can be used. These can be purchased where jewelry is sold.
