Preparing flavorful scallops is easy when using your George Foreman Grill. Not only are the scallops cooked quickly, but the grill enhances their taste by heating evenly throughout.

Place the skewers in the bowl of water. Soak them for at least 20 minutes before grilling.

Turn on the George Foreman Grill and let it preheat for at least five minutes.

Place the drip tray at the end of the grill as instructed by the George Foreman Grill manual.

Put the sea scallops on the skewers. Depending on the size of your grill, you may be able to fit three to five scallops on each skewer.

Coat the skewered scallops with olive oil using the basting brush. Make sure each scallop is completely covered with oil before it is placed onto the grill. If seasoning is desired, now is the time to sprinkle it onto the scallops.

Place the skewers of scallops on the preheated grill and cook for 2½ to 4 minutes with the lid closed.

Tips

  • When purchasing scallops, ask your grocer or fishmonger to select scallops that are relatively the same size. This will ensure that all of your scallops finish cooking at the same time.
