Sometimes drinking red wine can leave a stain on you lips and teeth that seems almost impossible to remove. If you are planning to drink red wine, you can be prepared to take care of wine stains that may show up on your lips.
Things You'll Need
Brush your teeth with a whitening toothpaste and use the toothbrush to gently scrub your lips as well. The combination of toothpaste and scrubbing can help clean away stains red wine leaves on your skin as well as your teeth.
Wipe your lips using stain-removing wine wipes. These cleaning wipes are made especially for removing the stains left by red wine; they are convenient to take with you on-the-go.
Use water to swish inside your mouth and wet your lips, then dab at your lips with a napkin to help lift stains away between sips of wine.
Rub a wedge of lemon or lime over your lips to reduce red wine staining.
Scrub and exfoliate the skin on your lips using water and baking soda. Mix a small amount of baking soda with a few drops of water until it reaches a paste consistency, then rub the mixture over your lips and wipe away.
If you are going out drinking but don’t have a way to remove red wine stains, try drinking white wine or another drink instead to reduce the chance of staining.
