How to Flip Your Bangs

By Meredith Burgio

Change up your bangs for a new look. Simply flipping them out can change the way your hair looks, and also the way you feel. The next time you are headed out, consider flipping your bangs, instead of keeping them the same. In a few steps, transform your look and you do not have to be a professional to achieve this new hairstyle.

Blow dry hair completely before styling.

Step 1

Shampoo and condition your hair as usual and towel it dry.

Step 2

Part your hair on one side. Comb your hair out to remove any tangles.

Step 3

Spray your hair with the heat protecting spray, to protect your hair from the heat from drying and styling.

Step 4

Blow dry your hair straight.

Step 5

Divide your hair into small sections, less than 1-inch. Hold the rest of your hair out of the way using the hair clips. Comb through the section you will straighten with a comb first, and then run your flat iron over the sections. Continue until all of your hair is straight except your bangs.

Step 6

Comb your bangs before styling. This will prevent your hair from being tangled while you style it.

Step 7

Run your flat iron over your bangs curling slightly at the ends. Move the flat iron away from your part, so that your hair flips away from your face.

Step 8

Spray hair lightly with holding spray to prevent the curl from falling.
