Swatch's are sleek, colorful and trendy watches that are normally made with a plastic band. The band is part a large part of the watches uniqueness, but can also make them difficult to adjust if you do not know what you are supposed to do. This article contains simple and easy to follow steps to change the size of swatch bands, so that you never have to worry about your watch slipping off because it is too big for you.

Find the small hole on the side of the watch strap that is connected to the rod that holds together all of the parts.

Remove the rod with a safety pin or pin punch on a wood block with a slot and hole.

Take out an even number of links by removing the same amount from each side. If you are removing an odd number, take the extra link from the 6 o'clock side. This side of the wrist is shorter and you want the clasp to remain in the middle.

Replace the pin in the same direction that you took it out in.

Some swatch watches have arrows inside indicating which direction the rod should be removed.

Visit your local swatch store and see if they can assist you if you have difficulty following the above steps.
