Water Promotes Hair Growth
Drinking water helps hair absorb vitamins effectively and therefore promotes growth. Eight to 10 glasses containing eight ounces of water each are recommended per day, so the suggested daily amount is 64 to 80 ounces of water.
Avoid "Hard" Water
According to the environmental website Cybernation.com, drinking water could actually be one of the causes of hair loss. Areas where the water is "hard" (with a high mineral content) could be high in copper, which is known to cause hair loss.
Drinking the recommended amount of water helps to promote hair growth, but if you live in an area where the water is hard, drink bottled mineral water rather than tap water. If you decrease your water intake, your body will become dehydrated, which slows down hair growth.
