How do I Remove VersaSpa Sunless Tan?

By Samantha Volz

Acquiring a beautiful, bronzed tan can be a status symbol in some areas, but it is not always practical to believe that you will have hours to lounge in the sun to acquire the perfect shade. As a result of the time pressures and potential health risks of sun tanning, many companies have produced sunless tanning products. The VersaSpa system combines a rub-on sunless tanning lotion with a quick minute-long session in a tanning booth to create tans without sunlight. If you are ready to be done with your tan and can't wait until it wears off, you can speed up the fading process.

Step 1

Moisten the skin in the area in which you want to remove the tan. This method can be used to remove unwanted splotches on specific areas of your body.

Step 2

Massage dry baking soda into your moist skin. The baking soda will act as an exfoliant, removing loose or dying skin cells and, therefore, the tan that the cells are holding.

Step 3

Rinse thoroughly in warm water to remove baking soda and skin cells.

Step 4

Soak in a bath of warm water and 3 to 4 cups of baking soda. This will loosen the skin and tan over your whole body. Massage certain tough areas, such as feet or hands, to remove color from those areas effectively.
