A scratch on the skin may seem harmless, but it may leave a scar or even become infected if left untreated. With good skin care, you can lighten the inflammation and restore smooth flesh in just a few days.

Wash the scratch with a gentle cleanser under warm running water.

Pat dry with a clean towel. Do not rub the scratch.

Apply a small amount of microdermabrasion exfoliant onto the scratch and massage in small, circular motions for only one minute.

Rinse the skin with warm water.

Repeat steps for a few days until the skin heals.
