There are claims that a daily dose of Sulfur 8 can promote hair growth. But some skeptics believe the product, which contains petrolatum, mineral oil, alcohol and sulfates, scare some, might stunt hair growth. So what's the truth behind Sulfur 8?

Shampoos, conditioners, moisturizing creams, braid sheens, dandruff treatments, serums and hair grease, which is the most popular for encouraging hair growth because of its oils, moisturizers and conditioners, can all contain Sulfur 8.

Benefits

Benefits include curing dandruff and treating ringworm of the scalp, as well as promoting a healthy scalp.

Drawbacks

Sulfur has a strong odor that's potentially unpleasant, and many people don't like the weight of the grease in their hair.
