If your hair is damaged from over processing, using too many products or just plain genetics, consider giving it a deep conditioning treatment. You don’t have to scrape up all of your spare change or dip into your vacation fund just to show your hair some love. And you don’t need a store-bought product for deep conditioning either. Take a walk around your house and you’ll probably find all the ingredients you need to make a homemade deep conditioner.
Pour 1 tablespoon of vegetable or olive oil into a bowl. Put it in the microwave for 20 seconds to warm it. The oil helps repair dry, brittle hair, while softening your strands at the same time.
Add ¼ cup of mayonnaise and ¼ cup of honey to the warm oil. Stir the ingredients with a spoon. The high fat content in mayonnaise will soften and moisturize your hair while adding shine, and honey is a humectant so it locks in moisture.
Put ½ of a ripe avocado into a separate bowl. Mash it with a fork until it has a paste-like consistency. Avocado is a natural hair moisturizer, and packed with vitamins and minerals that help nourish your hair and stimulate hair growth.

Pile your hair on top of your head, put on a plastic shower cap or wrap plastic wrap around your hair to keep it in place. Leave the mixture in your hair for 20 minutes, then rinse out with warm water. Shampoo and condition your hair as usual.
