The month of March is packed with promises of new growth, payoff and a breath of fresh opportunity, but not before we learn to let go. The first day of March offers us a Full Moon, signaling the need to check in with what we have become full with from Winter. This process will give us our best shot at utilizing all of our voluminous and far-reaching energy that will culminate on the most boundless Moon yet: the New Moon in Pisces on the 17th. The month of March is like an ocean of possibility. It allows us to practice and explore the swelling and contracting of our limits before we are asked to integrate and find balance with the second Full Moon of the month in Libra on the 31st. Take a look at your sign’s synopsis to get a better feel for where to focus all of the abundance and make the most out of this exciting time of year, and watch out for the articles for each Moon as they are released!

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

It’s your birthday, Pisces and you are in your element! Your house is packed with planets acting in a manner that you know how to best manage. The only issue is, this may only magnify your disconnection to the fast-paced world around you that usually does not run on your time. This may turn fun things like the celebration of your birthday and the coming of Spring into sources of stress, because, in this world, even celebration is scheduled. The secret to surviving while the world adopts your mutable essence is to own the power that it gives you. Right now, your lateness, fluidity and seclusion will be matched with a “me too” instead of irritation or misunderstanding. This is an incredible time to offer your unique guidance and to step into the role of the teacher and guide. Know that you have what it takes to lead and that the world needs what you have to offer. Whatever form this journey may take, lean into loving yourself and your flow and just let the world follow.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Your ruling planet makes the move from Sagittarius to Capricorn and echoes the energy of the three moons occurring this month. For you, this time is a true exercise in expansion and exertion versus patience and allowance. This is the month to take your foot off of the gas and be a conscious observer of your own life. Take the time to really analyze where you are in your relationships, work, selfhood and spiritual path, and be ready to take ownership of everything that you see. The first part of the month can be reserved simply to witness, process and recognize what you are having difficulty owning in your life and to figure out what place everything you currently experience has had in your growth. Once Spring Equinox hits and the Sun slides into your sign, it is time to let go of whatever was not working and move on, knowing that you have set yourself up for the infinite feeling that comes from sustainable, self-aware success.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Your sign’s ruler makes the first move of the month, forming a trine to Jupiter in the wee hours of the morning on the first. This offers you an incredible opportunity to begin this month with a fresh outlook and a rubber band-like capacity for inviting in new routines and romances. Jupiter is quite generous and will give you what you ask for, but you have got to get specific. Use day one of March to set the scene for how you want the start of your Spring to unfold by introducing the sights, smells, sounds and sayings that encourage your best work and connection into your space of awareness. When the Sun transitions into Aries on the Equinox, you will need the material reminders of where you are headed to keep you on track, so don’t drag your feet on this one, Taurus. There is too much on the table for you to put your own healing and happiness off any longer.

Gemini (May 21-June 21)

Your ruling planet is on the fritz this month with a retrograde beginning on the 22nd in the sign of Aries. While the internet may hype retrogrades as scary and limiting, try not to let it trip you up. This month holds some incredible energy for you to boost both your public and private life and figure out how to meld what you love and what you do. The Full Moon on the first happens in a sweet spot in your chart that can help you to lay a steady foundation. Use this time, and the first half of the month, to settle any ideas you already have brewing and feel confident in the plan for. Then, use the New Moon in Pisces on the 17th, happening in your house of social-position and career, to launch or release anything that is ready to be seen and that aligns with the values of your foundation. This will allow you to ride out retrograde season in the most reflective and receptive way possible, and give you the space to work and rework behind the scenes until you are ready to release your next big thing.

Cancer (June 22-July 22)

What an incredible ride this year has been for you, Cancer, and what a ride it continues to be. Your ruler, the Moon, has three major events in one calendar month for the second time this year, providing you with even more space for exponential growth. The key is to be willing to engage with what is being revealed to you, now. Sometimes, when you feel overwhelmed, you shut down and tune out what needs your attention most. Be willing to be wide-eyed and ready to confront what is glaringly wasting your time or energy in the form of relationships, situations and your own habits and thoughts, this month. Become aware of when you get stuck in a space of self-induced stagnancy and carve out time in your life delegated specifically to address it. The Moon is always on your side. Listen to whatever she is trying to tell you this month, and honor her guidance with empowered action.

Leo (July 21-Aug. 22)

This month, all of the New and Full Moons create a push and pull on your ruling planet, the Sun. The tugging will exist in the emotional realm and may throw you off of your game if you succumb to your sensitivity. To keep from feeling jostled and to use the energy of March to your fullest advantage, it will be of the utmost importance for you to tether yourself to your values. Use the first Full Moon to purge any values you have been holding in the service of others; for the sake of saving face or for social-acceptability. What will keep you grounded this month is what you can stand firm in, regardless of the outside circumstances or the people that test you. Sink into a value system that resonates with the path you are on now and with where you want to be heading. Create mantras, affirmations and life-decisions based on the values you find to be most resonant and be willing to leave the rest behind you.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

The month beings with a spotlight on you, Virgo, as the first of this month features a Full Moon in your sign. The appearance of the Full Moon in your sign means you are about halfway through your Solar Return and it is time to check-in. What were your birthday wishes and resolutions? How have you improved mentally, emotionally and spiritually since your birthday? And what practices may you need to continue or introduce to boost and sustain that growth? You are notorious for being hard on yourself, so be sure to make a factual list of your material accomplishments to help keep your self-cynical tendencies at bay. Use the first half of the month to asses and celebrate. Then, take advantage of the New Moon that mirrors and challenges your energy on the 17th to clue the people you are in relationships with in on your progress and your plans to sustain it.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

This month marks both the transition of the season as well as the transition of the Sun, as it moves from the sign of Pisces to your opposing sign, Aries. This makes the first half of the month an incredible time to sort out your professional affairs; to figure out what allows you to invite balance and harmony into your life and what might need some boundaries. Aries rules your 7th house of relationships and yearns for attention and focused energy while Pisces rules the house of the mundane. To allow the second half of this month to invite new blossoms in to your love and relationship life, it is important to first figure out how your mundane, day-to-day working life fit in. By nature, you are always interested in connection and may prioritize it above all, especially this month. So, set yourself up for success by seeking to find the balance, where each sphere of your life flows into and may even feed the other. It may be a hard process to start with but once you find the sweet spot, you will feel the difference.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Both of your ruling planets are clustered into Capricorn and act as a call to action. As a cardinal earth sign, Capricorn is all about material representation of power and authenticity. Jupiter has been aching to give you the kind of abundance that you dream of, but in order to offer this to you, you have to step up to the plate. Find ways, this month, to step into your material power and prowess. Recognize where you want to hold power and what kinds of wealth you want to manifest spiritually, financially and relationally. Then, show up where those opportunities lie. March may put you out of your comfort zone which is not a place you like to be, but it is time to push yourself, Scorpio. You must do something new in order to get a new result. You know exactly who you are and may even be clear about where you want to go in your head, but now is the time to materialize these fantasies into your lived reality and thrive.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Your ruling planet, Jupiter, begins to retrograde on the 8th, which is a difficult position for a planet that is always on the fast-track. Jupiter’s energy is often what gifts you your jovial and generous spirit, but right now, Jupiter (aka You), is in a state of reception and may need to find what offers this kind of energy back to it. You have grown accustomed to fueling your own fire and always being the brightest and bluntest in the room. This month, it may serve you to take a step back and survey the scene you have created around you. Make sure you have not been giving more than you are getting and that your creative, intellectual and spiritual generosity is being matched. Prioritize your own recuperation and reflection. That way, once Spring has sprung, you can feel clear about what and who is supporting you and know exactly where you need to be, and who you need to be with, to move forward with both passion and grace.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

As Saturn becomes further situated into its new home in your sign, the load on your back may feel like it is becoming heavier and heavier. Try not to let your responsibilities rule you and mess with your peace of mind. When the Spring of Aries season arrives mid-month, it will offer you a chance for some renewal. Aries rules your fourth house of roots, home and family and its season can provide you with some useful insight into how to create a space of safety in the chaos. The goal is to not bring your work home and to instead allow your roots to be nourished and settled where you rest. The first half of this month, focus on organizing your public life so that your private life has some space to expand and flourish. Saturn will be in your arena for another two years or so. Make peace with Saturn’s presence by showing it, and yourself, that you still know how to relax, reset and refresh in the face of great responsibility.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

You are hot off your Solar Return and are now digging in to what this year will look like for you. Last month was about beginning to build a foundation, this month is about testing its strength. It’s time to make a plan. Your brain works on a macro-scale, so begin by laying out a map of your social, intellectual and creative networks as well as your larger plans for your life and this world. Then, make smaller and smaller plans and connections off of these larger branches until you reach where you feel you are at today. All of the Spring/Aries energy may push you into a space of frazzled action but you operate best when you honor your own inner timing and your unique grand plan. Stick to your guns and aim for a slow-build. Nurture your foundation as you go, and this solar return year will teach you exactly how much you are capable of accomplishing.
