We have officially made it into 2018! January brought us lots and lots of surprises and some very exciting new opportunities. Now, February has come to test it. With only one Moon in February, and it being one of the biggest moons of the year, this month is the perfect time to dig deep and clear out. It is the last month before we receive our first day of Spring in the northern Hemisphere. Soon we will see the fruits of the labor we have done through hibernation in preparation for the season of birth and excitement bloom. Pay attention this month. Become hyper-sensitive to what is not in service for your growth. Use the day before the Eclipse on the 15th as the last hurrah for any dead weight and then let it go. Read on below to see what else you may need to watch out for or what you may need to make sure to bring with you along for the ride.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Happy birthday, Aquarius! You are entering the new year with so much potential for new life. January may have been your party month but February is when things start to get serious. The Eclipse falls right in your home house and can be threatening to your sense of security and self. By mid month, when the Eclipse occurs, planets will also start to move from your first to your second house and again put a spotlight on your stability. Celebrate your Solar Return by building systems of affirmation and love for yourself. Know that whatever the Eclipse rattles is part of a larger process of reckoning and revival. Set yourself up for success this month by laying a steady foundation, knowing that this year is yours to build.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

February is an exciting precipice. It welcomes the first waves of your energy and offers a boost to you and all of your projects. The Solar Eclipse also happens in your 12th house, a place of knowledge and ease for you. The key to this month, and this year, is to allow. To allow yourself to celebrate, to allow things to be messy and to figure themselves out, and to allow yourself to be happy and nourished through it all. You are best when you embody the knowingness and expansion of water, Pisces. Curate a space of safety, fluidity and allowance, this month. Then once your solar return comes around, you will be moving from a place of comfort and confidence in yourself and the universe rather than from fear or anxiety of what is to come. This February, your only job is to learn to lean in.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Your ruling planet makes a quick connection to Mercury at the beginning of this month and you get an opportunity to slow down and critically engage with the current moment. You are definitely a do-er, Aries, and this can often push you head-first into less-than-ideal situations that you may end up needing to flee just as fast. Let Mercury be your guide, this month. Let it teach you how to engage with the bigger picture, how to sit down, plan and strategize. This energy can offer you perspective in many forms, so really pay attention to what your relationships and environment may be able to help you uncover. It is all about prioritizing presence and pace. To know what you want here and now is an incredible gift. Learn how to put those desires into context and plan for their longevity and you will tap into a whole new kind of power.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

January may have planted some seeds that allowed you to see your value and bring the true power of manifestation that you hold into focus. This is a brilliant transition and one that will be most helpful for you as you bear through the rest of Winter. But be careful not to put the cart before the horse. On the 3rd, Jupiter squares your ruling planet which may have you reaching out for material things to validate the progress and warmth you are beginning to feel inside. Try and refrain from playing into the over-indulgent or anxious parts of this energy. This month is about building relationships that are reflective of the kind of life you want to lead. Focus on strengthening your connections instead of your collections, this month. Quality, material support will have much more to offer you once you hit your stride in Spring.

Gemini (May 21-June 21)

As February begins, your ruling planet continues to make robust connections as it moves through Aquarius. There is lots of room for you to put your best, most interesting, and also your mundane and dark, thoughts into a larger and more public format. The Eclipse occurs in your house of philosophy and culture. Utilize this energy on the 15th as a creative safe-space for you to tell your tale. Make a blog or a vision board, free write or record yourself talking about your opinions and thoughts on the state of the world, the state of your life and the quality of your interactions. Your mind is incredibly powerful. This month, give it space to roam free. Then, allow others access to this process so that they, too, can experience and implement the raw innovation and channeled message that can only come from a Gemini.

Cancer (June 22-July 22)

It is Eclipse season, Cancer, which means your ruler's energy is on the fritz and you may be, too. Being ruled by the moon, you have a hyper-sensitivity to all of its various formations and phases. This season of the year, all you really need to do is breathe. Breathe into the discomfort, the irritation and the crying. Breathe in to the growth and transformation. Just let it all happen. Feeding your anxiety and worry will only make the process that much more painful. Gather your systems of support, focus in on your power and what you know you need to do and let go of all the rest. Once March comes around you will have a clear idea of how to move forward. For now, just learn to relinquish any control you thought you had over what may come and what may go and just breathe.

Leo (July 21-Aug. 22)

As the Sun continues to pass through your seventh house, it stops to make a big scene there in the form of a Solar Eclipse on the 15th. This could be huge for you, Leo, but only if you let it. Think back to the eclipse on January 31st, and the week leading up to and after it: How did it make you feel? What did it shift? The Eclipse on the 31st was an internal one; a space to recognize, face and let go of our own patterns and habits that hinder our growth and transformation. Whatever you let go, shifted or invited in around this time, subconsciously or consciously, is now asking to be integrated into your relationships. Allow your relationships to be a space of accountability for you now, a place where you are held to your highest potential. This month, embody limitlessness and trust in yourself and your relationships to be the containers for your expansion.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

You are almost halfway through your solar return year and are gifted the eclipses as milestone markers. The Eclipse energy can be an incredible entryway if you find innovative ways to deal with all of the weight. Sometimes, your earthly energy can burden you and make you feel frustrated and misunderstood. If you begin to feel stifled or fried this month, try to take a step back and engage in some flexibility. Eclipses can test us in the most mundane and orderly of places and shake them until they are unrecognizable. The best way to meet this energy is with imagination. This month, envision multiple routes to work, welcome new twists and turns in your relationships and take nothing at face value. All you need to make it through this time of year is to relinquish all of your expectations and judgements and just show up.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

As lighthearted as you are, you can often end up carrying other people's emotional weight. This often comes in the form of their guilt, lack of support or emotional energy spent trying to uplift others. If you continue to feed this dynamic this month, you may drain yourself dry. The Eclipse illuminates the duality in relationship for you, it highlights the extremes of detachment and dependency, and it may show you where you need to implement or extract both in your life. The best way to learn this lesson will be to embody your most authentic and full self; to show up unapologetically in your feelings and embodiments of them and to allow the people around you to show up how they will (or won't). This experience will tell you all you need to know about who to keep around and who can only handle you when you are there to handle them. Be prepared to pay attention and make any moves necessary to protect you and your joy.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

As Jupiter continues its transit through your first house, abundance is available to you in every direction. This month, all of the abundance you need you will find once you begin to cherish and commit to your own personal growth. The Eclipse on the 15th nestles itself in your fourth house of home and roots, and highlights the importance of safety and affirmation. Allow yourself this last month of Winter to journey inward through journaling, meditation and fearless self-expression. Seek to learn about and love yourself. Spring will bring you very robust and active energy. Use your time wisely now to figure out not only what you want Jupiter to expand in your material, outside life but also what you wish to bring out more from within. Have compassion for yourself through this process and know that you hold all the answers.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Mars zooms through your first house this month and puts the pressure on for you to get to work. This energy will be priceless if you know how to channel it but could be very destructive if you do not approach it with a plan. Your best bet is to map out the month and include ways to expand both your physical and mental energy. If there are projects you have been meaning to start or finish or routines related to movement that you have dreamed of implementing into your life, now is the time to see them through. The Eclipse for you can be used as a marker for your progress and a place to check in with and re-work your plan. It may not be the best month for collaboration unless those you partner with can match you and your speed. Self-reliance, careful planning and diligent commitment will be most important to bring you the success you want and deserve as Spring slowly approaches.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

The name of the game this month is integration. Your solar return revealed to you what you want to work on, materially and internally, and this month is when the work of implementation begins. Aquarius rules your second house and has a huge say in your material and emotional stability. This month, the Eclipse occurs there and planets continue to crowd that space, as well. This may be a test to all of the work you have done thus far. The best way to address the heaviness is with an open and curious mind. Allow yourself to explore different options and answers to any problems that arise and just keep a loose and flexible plan for the immediate future. If you try too hard to dominate your direction, you may end up blocking your own blessings. Just let yourself live and let go, Capricorn.
