Easy to use Stridex products contain salicylic acid as their active ingredient. These effective acne fighting pads help you treat and prevent skin blemishes. Nearly 85 percent of people between the ages of 12 and 24 are acne prone on occasion, but all ages can experience acne, claims the Stridex company. Skin cells and dirt can get trapped in your pores. Treating your face with Stridex pads can help remove dirt and dead cells to promote acne-free skin.
Wash your face with your favorite face wash or cleanser to remove excess dirt. Gently pat your skin dry with a towel.
Read the directions on the back of the package for any pertinent information and allergy notices.
Remove one Stridex pad from the package. Wipe the pad over the entire acne-affected area. Stay away from your eyes, lips and other mucous membranes when wiping your face. Scrubbing can cause irritation. Instead, wipe or blot gently and discard the dirty pad.
Repeat with a clean pad, as necessary, to remove any remaining traces of dirt. When the pad wipes clean over your skin, treatment is finished. Try not to leave the pad on your skin for too long, because this may irritate it.
For best results, use Stridex pads one to three times daily for a period of at least three or four weeks.
If dryness, extreme redness or peeling occurs, reduce the application to once a day or every other day. Do not use this product if you are allergic to salicylic acid.
