Peppers are great for their versatility, nutritional value and wonderful flavor and texture. Unfortunately, they can be a conundrum to handle with their uneven shape and messy seeds. Make quick work of slicing and dicing peppers with this simple method to discard the stem and seeds.
Start by placing the pepper on its side on a cutting board. Make a straight cut across the top of the pepper removing the stem and revealing the seeds inside. Reach into the pepper to grab the bunch of seeds and gently pull them out. If some seeds remain inside, turn the pepper upside down and shake them out, use a spoon to scoop them out or rinse the pepper out with water. From here, you can leave your pepper whole for stuffing and/or roasting or cut it in half lengthwise and lay it flat for slicing and dicing.
