White hair can be caused by a variety of different issues, ranging from stress to diet. Most often, it is due to simple genetics and the aging process. Rest. If you don’t get adequate sleep nightly, you may be more prone to white or gray hair. Carve out at least seven hours nightly for shut eye.
Quit smoking. If you smoke cigarettes, you are much more likely to get premature white hair. Smoking accelerates the aging process. In addition to white hair, you’ll also be more susceptible to wrinkles, respiratory disorders and lung cancer. There’s no good reason to keep doing it.
Eat a healthy, well-balanced diet. Poor nutrition can cause and worsen gray or white hair. Take a multi-vitamin daily to cover your nutritional bases but you should also try to get as many vitamins and nutrients from fresh, natural foods as possible.

This Chinese herb’s name translates as “black-haired Mr. He.” According to the Institute for Traditional Medicine, it has long been used by Chinese herbalists to restore youthfulness and black hair. You can find He Shou Wu in capsule form in most herbal stores. Take the recommended 1,200 mg twice daily for best results.
