Baby oil isn’t just for babies. The aromatic oil is merely mineral oil with a bit of fragrance, which makes it a good skin moisturizer for people of all ages. Baby oil hydrates and locks moisture into your skin. Pick up a bottle -- or borrow from baby -- and use it in place of body lotion.
Unveil Softer Skin
Apply baby oil to the dry areas of your body while your skin is damp, such as after towel-drying from a shower or bath. This will allow the oil to lock in the moisture already on your skin. Pour some oil into the palm of one hand and rub your hands together. Massage the oil over your skin using long strokes to distribute it evenly. Avoid getting the oil into your eyes, nose or mouth, and let the oil soak into your skin for a few minutes before getting dressed. Use caution if applying baby oil in the tub or shower; it may make the surface slippery. Don’t apply baby oil to areas of the skin that have open wounds or are irritated by a skin condition.
