Sausage is a common breakfast side dish, served alongside eggs or pancakes. The slightly spicy flavor complements other breakfast foods very well. Trying to cook and eat a balanced breakfast, which includes sausage, can take more time than you have available in the mornings. In this event, you can microwave the sausages and enjoy the flavor with less time required.
Place enough paper towels on the plate to create no more than one layer.
Decide how many sausages you want and place them on the plate. Do not stack them on top of each other.
Set the microwave to cook about 45 seconds for each patty you chose. For example, two patties would take 90 seconds to cook; three would take 135 seconds.
Leave the sausages in the microwave for at least two minutes after the timer goes off to allow the cooking process to complete.
