As the economy goes down and the price of groceries goes up the price of my favorite coffee creamer has also gone up. Here is my favorite substitute, and I have found I like it even better than the store brand.
Melt your 3 Tablespoons of butter and stir in either 3/4 cup of white or brown sugar. If you use brown sugar you will have more of a butter scotch of butter rum flavored coffee creamer.
After the sugar is stirred into the butter, add the first 1 cup plus 2 Tablespoons of powdered milk into the butter and sugar mixture. Stir well. Now add in your 1/3 cup of boiling water and stir well.
Add your remaining powdered milk to the remaining cold water and stir well with a spoon.
Mix your first mixture (steps 1 and 2) with your second mixture (step 3) and add in your favorite flavoring. Pour this all into your serving container (empty creamer bottle) and put the lid on and shake well.
Chill until morning. Shake well and use as you would any other coffee creamer.
