Making hot chocolate with Slim-Fast instead of a regular mix is a great way to boost your weight loss goals without loading up on calories. In the winter or whenever you're in the mood for a warm drink, just replace one of your regular Slim Fast meal replacement shakes with a Slim-Fast hot chocolate. It gives you the same benefits, without added sugar or fat. Slim-Fast is also a great alternative to regular hot chocolate even if you're not following the diet plan.

If you're looking to replace one of your regular meal replacement shakes, you'll want to follow the same proportions as you normally do. In that case, add 8 ounces of milk to your mug. If not, add as much as you're in the mood for!

If you're using a microwave, put the milk in at regular power for 40 seconds. Check to make sure the milk smells sweet and has little bubbles on the edge. If not, keep putting it back in for 10 seconds at a time until it does.

Then, add your scoop of Slim-Fast shake mix to the milk and use your whisk or milk frother to incorporate it into the hot milk. If you're not on the Slim-Fast plan, add the mix in half scoop intervals until the color is what you'd like. As soon as you can't see any more clumps, you're done.

If you're using a milk steamer, add the milk to your mug. Then, add the Slim-Fast shake mix. Put the steamer wand just slightly under the surface of the milk, and turn it on. As quickly as possible, incorporate the mix into the milk by frothing the top of the mixture. As soon as it is incorporated, you can let the wand go deeper into the milk to let it heat up fully.

Tip

Don't use less than one scoop to 8 ounces of milk -- it won't taste like hot chocolate!
