There is something about the biscuits that Hardee's makes that gives them that extra buttery, flaky taste. Biscuits in general are one of the most delicious breakfast items on most menus. In attempt to emulate this infamous Hardee's biscuit, follow these seven steps so you can enjoy them any time you'd like!
Mix flour, salt, sugar, baking powder and shortening into fine crumbs.
Add buttermilk and water gradually until light and tender.
Move your dough onto a floured surface.
Knead the dough well, but be careful not to overwork it.
Flatten the dough, but so not use a rolling pin. Cut out and place rounds on a greased baking sheet.
Bake on 425 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Enjoy your imitation Hardee's Biscuit with some type of meat, jelly, butter or plain.
