Get a 13 to 14 oz. package of instant chocolate pudding. Pour the mix into a bowl.

Add 2 cups of cold milk to the pudding mixture and blend with a wire whisk. Whisk for two or three minutes or until smooth.

Beat in 1/4 cup of sugar along with about 1 cup evaporated milk. Only use as much evaporated milk to your preferred thickness and taste.

Pour the mixture into your choice of small containers. Try ice cube trays, or plastic popsicle molds, paper or plastic cups. Insert the wooden sticks or toothpicks. Cover the forms with a layer of plastic wrap and insert the toothpicks through a small hole in the wrap to make them stand up straight.

Place the forms or trays into the freezer and let them freeze for a few hours at least.

  • Try a low-carb variation with a package of sugar-free chocolate instant pudding. Use heavy cream instead of milk and sugar and add water to taste.
