Brown ground beef with chopped onions, chili powder, cumin and garlic powder in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain grease.
Mix in tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt and pepper.
Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cover.
Simmer covered for 1 1/2 hours. Stir occasionally.
Remove cover, stir in beans and simmer for an additional 3 minutes or until beans are warmed.
